These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DevTao Studio website and the design, development, and related services we provide. By engaging DevTao Studio ("we", "us", "our") or using this website, you ("the client", "you") agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services We Provide

DevTao Studio offers web design, website and e-commerce development, UI/UX design, custom application development, SEO integration, and digital advertising services. The specific deliverables, scope, and price for your project will be set out in a written quote, proposal, or invoice, which forms part of these Terms once accepted.

2. Quotes, Payments & Deposits

  • All prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless otherwise stated and are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote.
  • Unless agreed otherwise, projects require an upfront deposit (typically 50–70%) before work begins, with the balance payable before final delivery or launch.
  • Work does not commence until the deposit has been received and confirmed.
  • Recurring services such as maintenance, hosting, or ad management are billed on the cycle stated in your agreement.

3. Project Timelines & Client Responsibilities

We will agree on an estimated timeline before starting. Timely delivery depends on your cooperation. You agree to provide, in good time, all content, images, brand assets, access credentials, and feedback required to complete the project. Delays in providing these materials or in approving milestones may extend the timeline and are not the responsibility of DevTao Studio.

4. Revisions & Change Requests

Each package includes a set number of revision rounds as stated in your quote. Additional revisions, or new features and changes requested outside the agreed scope ("scope creep"), may be quoted separately and billed as additional work.

5. Intellectual Property & Ownership

  • Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of the final website design and custom code produced specifically for your project transfers to you.
  • DevTao Studio retains the right to reuse general techniques, frameworks, and non-client-specific code in other projects.
  • Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins, themes) remain subject to their own licences, which you are responsible for maintaining.
  • You grant us permission to display the completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.

6. Third-Party Services

Your project may rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, payment gateways, domain registrars, email platforms, and analytics tools. These services are governed by their own terms, and DevTao Studio is not liable for their availability, performance, pricing changes, or downtime.

7. Support & Warranty

We provide a complimentary support window after launch (as stated in your package) to fix genuine defects in the work we delivered. This warranty does not cover issues caused by client edits, third-party updates, hosting problems, hacking, or new feature requests. Ongoing maintenance is available as a separate paid service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided on a professional "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevTao Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profit, data, or business, arising from the use of our services or website. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Cancellation & Termination

Either party may terminate a project in writing. If you cancel after work has begun, deposits are non-refundable and you will be invoiced for work completed up to the cancellation date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate work where payments are overdue or these Terms are breached.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
